New Webinar Series Launched
On September 9, we launched our new “Let’s Chat Webinar Series” to help our community engage with one another and learn new skills. “Clock-wise: Time Management Techniques to Maximize Productivity” offered participants a chance to explore myths about multitasking and learn skills that are crucial for managing responsibilities at home, work, and in relationships.

Scholar Spotlight: It Starts with a Dream
A hair salon owned by Cortney Gatewood. That’s the dream. And Cortney is determined to make it a reality.
After graduating high school in 2012, Cortney earned an associate degree in photography from Antonelli College. She has photographed weddings, family events, “all the usual gatherings that have a photographer on hand,” she says. But the income just wasn’t enough to support this 31-year-old who lives in downtown Cincinnati with her 6-year-old son.
Because she has always enjoyed working with hair, Cortney supplemented her income with clients who sought her hair styling savvy. Recognizing that she needed to sharpen her skills to be on the cutting edge of this field but lacking financial resources, she reached out to The Chatfield Edge. Cortney is now enrolled in the Cincinnati School of Barbering & Hair Design in Cincinnati and expects to graduate in February of 2026.
Support the Ursuline Video Project
Earlier this summer, we gathered Ursuline Sisters, former Chatfield College staff and alums, Brown County community members, and representatives from The Chatfield Edge to capture the history and impact of the Ursuline Sisters of Brown County.
The Ursuline Sisters of Brown County are coming to fulfillment as a congregation, meaning that when the final Sister leaves this earth, their mission will be continued through the lay men and women who follow in the Ursuline tradition and heritage. Our goal for this video project is to preserve the Sisters’ legacy and inspire future generations to live out the charisms and values the Sisters wholeheartedly embraced.
We look forward to sharing the finished videos next month and invite you to join us in financially supporting this project.
