The Chatfield Edge Welcomes Dr. Jeffrey C. Bauer and Craig Roberts to Its Board of Trustees
LOVELAND, OH — July 31, 2026 — The Chatfield Edge is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Jeffrey C. Bauer and Craig Roberts to its Board of Trustees. Both leaders bring extensive experience in higher education, business, and community engagement that will strengthen the organization’s mission of helping adult learners overcome barriers and achieve educational success.
“Jeff and Craig are accomplished leaders who share a deep commitment to serving others and creating opportunities for individuals to thrive,” said Robert Elmore, executive director of The Chatfield Edge. “Their expertise and passion for education, community, and strategic leadership will be invaluable as we continue to expand our impact.”
Dr. Bauer is dean of the University of Cincinnati’s Clermont College and professor of management and marketing. He joined the UC Clermont faculty in 1995 and has served as dean since 2015. He chaired the University Council of Deans from 2019 – 2020 and has served on the Clermont County Chamber of Commerce Board since 2018.
Before entering higher education, Dr. Bauer spent 11 years in industry in analytical and leadership roles. His research focuses on organizational development and the impacts of organizational change. He is widely recognized as a relationship builder committed to student success and strengthening connections between the university and the community.
Dr. Bauer earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Wright State University, an MBA from the University of Dayton, and a doctorate in business administration from the University of Sarasota. He and his wife, Petra Hackenberg-Bauer, M.D., have lived in Cincinnati since 1991. Their two adult children, Alexander and Kristina, are both UC graduates.
Craig Roberts is president of Capital Real Estate Partners, LLC, a company he founded in 1998 that provides strategic real estate solutions to institutional, corporate, industrial, retail, and municipal clients. A graduate of Miami University and an inventor with one awarded patent, Roberts has served on several Cincinnati-area nonprofit boards throughout his career.
Roberts and his wife, Pennie, have been married for 40 years and reside in Anderson Township. They are the parents of Paige, who is remembered with love, and Cory, and grandparents to two grandchildren. Roberts says the guiding principles for this chapter of his life are “being truthful in all dealings with all people and reflecting Christ as much as a sinner like me can.”
